The knife was made by Jacobus Kuyper (de Bree 317), active from 1731. The master's mark is a cooper's hammer, the knife handle is also hallmarked with the city hallmark of Middelburg and the date letter O for 1750. The handle is crowned with a little dog (a sign of loyalty) and features a floral decoration. The blade is marked Christofle a Paris. The knife has age related signs of use. The knife has a length
