1926 Print Battlesbury Camp Foreground Outer Rampart Hillfort Bronze Iron XGW5 XEU7 This is an original 1925This is an original 1926 halftone print of Battlesbury Camp from two different views. This location is a hillfort that has archaeological finds dating to the Late Bronze and Early Iron Ages. The hillfort is built on a point in the hill that made it easily defensible. Some interesting finds in the hills have consisted of whetstones, the hub of a chariot wheel and sling stones all of which can be dated to the late Iron Age or early Bronze Age. CONDITION
